Chantilly Air was established in 1990 as a corporate flight department serving the needs of our principals’ and their affiliated companies. Our evolution into an executive charter provider started with an AMR Worldwide Charter Services partnership, the executive aviation arm of American Airlines. After many years of experience we obtained our own FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate qualifying us as an independent aircraft charter operator.

The principals of our company have maintained an established business reputation in the Washington, DC metro area for over 75 years. Our philosophy has always been and will always be safety first. We are a member of the Flight Safety Foundation and are proud to have successfully completed their Q-Star charter provider audit. We also maintain membership in the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) and have been chosen to serve on both of their Charter Committees.

Safety is our first concern and customer service is our specialty. Chantilly Air has received on-site safety audits by 3 leading third-party charter safety auditors, Flight Safety Foundation’s Q-Star program, Wyvern Consulting Ltd, and has received a Platinum Rating from ARG/US.

We take our commitment to safety seriously and are very proactive in the training and qualifying procedures of our flight and maintenance crews. Our flight crews attend regular recurrent training at the world’s leading aviation training company, Flight Safety International.
